New Delhi: US President Donald Trump on Saturday announced an additional 10 per cent tariff on all Canadian imports. He cited Canada’s alleged misrepresentation of former President Ronald Reagan in a recent anti-tariff advertisement.
Trump said the new tariffs would be applied on top of the existing tariffs already imposed on Canadian goods. “Because of their serious misrepresentation of the facts, and hostile act, I am increasing the Tariff on Canada by 10% over and above what they are paying now,” the former president wrote on his social media platform, Truth Social.
