U.S. President Donald Trump has slapped an additional 10 per cent tariffs on Canada, blaming its northern neighbour for running a "fraudulent advertisement" on former President Ronald Reagan's speech on tariffs.
In a Truth Social post late Saturday, Trump wrote, "Their Advertisement was to be taken down, IMMEDIATELY, but they let it run last night during the World Series, knowing that it was a FRAUD. Because of their serious misrepresentation of the facts and hostile act, I am increasing the Tariff on Canada by 10 per cent over and above what they are paying now."
The U.S. President once again accused Canada of attempting to interfere with the decision of the US Supreme Court, which is currently reviewing legal challenges to his tariff measures.
