TEXARKANA, Ark. – An Elvis Tribute at the Arkansas Historical Municipal Auditorium was sold out to an audience of 155 in Texarkana, Arkansas, on Saturday evening.
Elvis impersonator, Todd Herendeen, was interested in playing at the municipal auditorium since he knew the King of Rock and Roll had played at the venue, as well as Johnny Cash and Jerry Lee Lewis, to name a few.
The planning secretary for the Historic District of Texarkana, Arkansas, Velvet Cool, said the benefit was to raise money, hopefully for matching funds or grants to continue with needed renovations for the auditorium.
“It is sold out because the auditorium needs renovations, we are limited as to what our fire capacity is, and accessibility is an issue; so, this was a number that we are comfortable with,” said Cool. “
