T he India Meteorological Department on Saturday (October 25, 2025) said the depression over the southeast Bay of Bengal moved westwards and is likely to intensify into a deep depression and further into a cyclonic storm.
The weather system is expected to strengthen into a deep depression by October 26 (Sunday) and a cyclonic storm over the southwest and adjoining west-central Bay of Bengal by the morning of October 27 (Monday). It is likely to cross the Andhra Pradesh coast around Kakinada by Tuesday night, with maximum wind speeds of 90-100 kmph, gusting to 110 kmph, according to the India Meteorological Department.
