NEW ORLEANS — A 44-year-old woman was injured after her car window shattered on 1-10 eastbound on the high-rise Monday afternoon, according to the New Orleans Police Department.

The incident happened around 2:12 p.m. Police said the woman was driving when her rear passenger window suddenly shattered, and she was struck by flying glass.

NOPD said the victim was treated at University Medical Center for her injuries.

According to NOPD's Seventh District report, the damage appeared to be caused by a bullet fired by an unknown suspect.
