NEW ORLEANS — Ghouls, ghosts, and goblins filled the streets of the French Quarter this weekend for the annual Krewe of Boo parade.

Halloween lovers dressed in elaborate costumes — and some just for laughs — packed the parade route to celebrate New Orleans’ official Halloween parade.

“We’re both vampires.”

“I’m a banana.”

“I’m from The Purge.”

“I’m an avocado.”

For many, Krewe of Boo has become one of the city’s favorite parades of the year.

“It’s in the top three for sure, and I’ve been to Mardi Gras,” one paradegoer said.

While the parade avoided the weekend’s spooky rain, the ongoing construction project through parts of the French Quarter continues to frustrate nearby business owners.
