ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB) - Several church communities in Alexandria came together on October 25, to celebrate family and faith at the “Fall for Jesus” Fall Festival.

The Sonia Quarters Outreach Ministry, Greater St. Lawrence Missionary Baptist Church, Daughter of Zion Baptist Church, and New Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church joined forces for the free event, held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Greater St. Lawrence Missionary Baptist Church in Alexandria.

Families enjoyed train rides, face painting, costume contests, trunk-or-treating, games, giveaways, food, clothing and a performance by the Peabody Magnet High School Marching Band.

Otis W. Brown, pastor of Greater St. Lawrence Missionary Baptist Church, said the goal was to spread love and bring the community together.
