When Bob Gill set up for the Kincaid Mounds Archaeology Field Day, he picked an appropriate spot. Almost 60 years earlier, he found his first piece of the site’s history about 20 feet away. The collection he brought showed the variety of items he found over the few years he hunted what’s now the Kincaid Mounds Archaeological Site.
Gill, of Boaz, Kentucky, was among those at the field day Saturday, Oct. 11, displaying what they have found not only at Kincaid, but throughout the region.
