Lucknow, Oct 26 (UNI) A passenger bus travelling from Delhi to Gonda caught fire early this morning on the Lucknow-Agra Expressway, about 500 meters before the toll plaza.
The blaze started around 4:45 am, reportedly after the rear wheel caught fire, which quickly spread throughout the vehicle.
Sub-Inspector Mobin Ali and his police team immediately reached the spot and safely evacuated all passengers from the burning bus. No casualties were reported.
Fire brigade teams arrived promptly with three fire tenders and brought the flames under control after an intense operation.
Station In-Charge Satish Rathore said that preliminary investigation indicates a technical fault as the cause of the fire. The situation is now completely under control and peaceful.
