The Ministry of Railways has officially approved the renaming of Aurangabad Railway Station to “Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar” Railway Station. This significant change aligns with the government’s ongoing efforts to reflect regional and historical heritage in city and station names.

According to the South Central Railway, the competent authority has sanctioned the change under the Nanded Division. The station will now carry the new name “Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar” Railway Station, with the updated railway code “CPSN”. The official notification confirming the change was released this week.
