Kuala Lumpur, Oct 26 (IANS): Cambodia and Thailand have signed a historic peace agreement in Malaysia, marking a significant milestone for regional stability.
The agreement was signed in the presence of US President Donald Trump, Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, and Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul.
The agreement includes provisions for mutual border security, joint development zones, and the establishment of a bilateral peace commission to monitor implementation.
President Trump emphasized the role of economic diplomacy in promoting peace and announced the finalization of two separate agreements, a new trade deal with Cambodia and a strategic minerals partnership with Thailand. The agreement marks a new chapter in bilateral relations between the two nations.
