In view of the potential impact of the approaching Cyclone Montha, the Odisha government has cancelled the leave of all government employees in seven districts to ensure administrative preparedness and effective disaster response.

According to official sources, the order applies to all government personnel posted in Koraput, Malkangiri, Gajapati, Ganjam, Kalahandi, Balasore, and Kendrapara districts. In Balasore, the District Collector has cancelled all holidays until the situation stabilises, while in Ganjam, officials have been directed to remain at their respective headquarters between October 25 and 30.

The move aims to ensure that adequate manpower is available for relief and rescue operations in case of any emergency arising from the cyclone’s impact.
