MEMPHIS, Tenn. - You'll want to keep the rain gear handy for the next few days, as most of us will see a good soaking across the Mid-South. The best chances for rain will occur overnight tonight and Sunday morning. This is also our best window of seeing pockets of flooding due to embedded heavy rainfall, as well as rumbles of thunder. Widespread rainfall totals through Monday morning will be in the 1-2 inch range, with some localized areas receiving over 2 inches of rain.

Make sure to take it a bit slower on the roads, and watch for areas of flooding. Winds will also be gusty at times as a low pressure system and associated cold front approach from the west.
