India’s foreign exchange reserves rose by $4.5 billion to $702.28 billion in the week ended October 17, driven mainly by higher gold holdings, according to Reserve Bank of India (RBI) data. The reserves are now nearing the record high of $704.89 billion achieved in September 2024.
