A security guard working at the IT park in Hinjewadi in Pune allegedly killed his three-year-old twin daughters and dumped their bodies in a forest area, following a domestic dispute with his wife last week.

The police identified the accused as Rahul Chavan, 33, a resident of Pune and native of the Rui Gosta village in Maharashtra’s Washim district. They booked him in an FIR at the Andhera police station in Buldhana district Saturday.

According to the police, Chavan was working as a security guard at Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park Phase 2 in Hinjewadi. He was residing in Pune with his wife for the last few years, and the couple had twin daughters, Pratiksha and Pranali, the police said.

A police probe revealed that, around October 18, a quarrel occurred between Chavan and his wife. Follow
