STARKVILLE, Miss. (WLBT) - The Mississippi State Bulldogs blow a 17-point fourth quarter lead in brutal loss to the Texas Longhorns, 45-38.
At the start, all the momentum was in Texas’ favor after they scored in just two plays on their first drive.
Later in the first quarter, Mississippi State was finally able to get on the board thanks to a 10-yard passing touchdown from Blake Shapen to Seydou Traore.
Texas then opened the second quarter with a 10-play, 37-yard drive capped off by a one-yard passing touchdown from Arch Manning to Parker Livingstone to make it a 14-7 game.
The Bulldogs immediately responded though with their own 11-play, 83-yard drive that was finished off by a one-yard rushing touchdown by Freshman Kamario Taylor.
