GENESEE COUNTY, MI -- A local police chief has rescinded an agreement with U.S. Customs Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Michigan police chief says he’s rescinding ICE cooperation agreement

Metro Police Authority of Genesee County Chief Matt Bade said the decision to rescind an agreement with ICE was made due to a staffing issue he can’t otherwise resolve.

Metro Police Authority Chief Matt Bade told MLive-The Flint Journal of his decision on Wednesday, Oct. 22, just hours after advising his department’s oversight board of his plans.
