MODEST PROPOSAL

I have a tongue-in-cheek idea. Since the teachers are asking for $4 billion in raises and education improvements, why don’t we institute a two per cent sales tax which will net the province $4 billion. Instead of calling it a sales tax we’ll call it BTST, the Back to School Tax.
