This past Thursday marked a new chapter in the nearly three-decade history of Par 3 West. After nearly two years of ownership by the daughters of longtime owner Bob Johnson, the course was officially sold to a Greenwood-based family.

Although the sale was finalized just days ago, the new owners were already at work by Friday, beginning to develop plans for the future of the course. They requested to remain anonymous for now, given the sale’s recent nature.

“We want golf to be accessible to everyone,” the new owner said. “It’s a place where families can come together, get outside, and have a good time. We see a real void in the market for affordable activities that families can enjoy together, especially outdoors.”
