KALAMAZOO COUNTY, MI -- Temperatures are dropping, leaves are falling and Halloween is right around the corner.

Costumed children walking the streets seeking candy from neighbors is an age old tradition. But you may want to check first whether your local government has designated trick-or-treat times on Friday, Oct. 31.

A handful of Kalamazoo County municipalities have designated hours for witches, ghouls and superheroes to be out and about.

These communities have designated trick or treating hours:

Parchment: 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Schoolcraft: 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Mattawan: 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Vicksburg: 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Three Rivers: 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
