SHERIDAN TOWNSHIP, MI - Two people were shot and injured early Sunday, Oct. 26 at separate locations in Sheridan Township, east of Battle Creek.
The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office responded around 12:44 a.m. to reports of multiple gunshots fired near C Drive North and 29 Mile Road, according to a news release.
Deputies found two people, a 21-year-old man and 20-year-old woman both from Battle Creek, suffering from gunshot wounds.
Both were transported to Henry Ford Health for treatment.
Police said the extent of their injuries is unknown but one victim had life-threatening injuries.
The shooting remains under investigation by the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office Detective Bureau and the Violent Crime Task Force.
