After ex-typhoon Halong displaced over 1,500 residents of Western Alaska, people are relocating throughout the state, and some are coming to Fairbanks.
At a recent Fairbanks North Star Borough School Board meeting Superintendent Dr. Luke Meinert said the district is working with the superintendent of the Lower Kuskokwim School district and the Commissioner of Education Deena Bishop to see how they can aid in the transition of families that were displaced.
