‘We go through experiences where we maybe have to go through a melt season and we lose part of ourselves,” printmaker Sasha Bitzer said, explaining how her current works depicting glaciers serve as metaphors for the development humans undergo as they travel through life.

“But we’re able to transform and literally move like the glacier slides on its bed,” she added. “And then there are times where we have to have these layers of snow to help us build up our body again and be bigger and stronger, and be able to be a reservoir. To be able to give out in that season of melt.”
