A Windsor woman wanted by Sarnia police after a driver rammed their way out of car wash and caused $30,000 in damage has been arrested and picked up additional charges after assaulting a special constable at headquarters, Sarnia police say.
The accused was found by Anishinabek police shortly before 6 p.m. Friday and turned over to Sarnia police. Around 7:30 a.m. Saturday, a special constable went to the woman’s cell to give her a bottle of water as she waited for her bail hearing.
“As the door was being opened, (the woman) lunged at the special constable in a sudden and unprovoked attack. A physical confrontation ensued, triggering a facility alarm,” police said in a statement issued Sunday morning.
The officer was able to take the woman to ground. She suffered minor cuts to her head
