Warren residents can vote by absentee ballot for the Nov. 4 election, but early in-person voting will not be available.
Under the Michigan Constitution, local jurisdictions may determine whether to provide early voting for local elections in addition to the mandatory early voting periods required for state and federal elections.

Warren Clerk Sonja Buffa said she opted not to offer early voting for local elections due to the cost and staffing challenges.
“The decision ensures responsible management of election costs and reflects the needs of our community,” Buffa said. “Both early voting and absentee voting allow you to cast your ballot before Election Day, the difference lies in how and where you vote.”
Buffa emphasized absentee voting is fully available to all
