Malik Bunton, 21, was discovered at RAF Leeming in July 2023. Coroner Catherine Cundy for North Yorkshire and York determined Bunton had ended his own life in an inquest this month. However, Ms Cundy condemned the RAF's management of Malik's death after learning of two distinct "self-harm/suicidal ideation" incidents in the months preceding Bunton's death, reports Yorkshire Live .
