If you'd walked down Sauchiehall Street a year or two ago, you might have been forgiven for thinking the nightlife scene there was dying.

However, despite several notable names closing, and worries more might follow, the area is actually undergoing a resurgence with some old greats returning and some new ones set to join them.

And while cornerstones like the Garage, The Variety, Box, Nice and Sleazy and Firewater continue to draw in the crowds, newer venues on the street are also beginning to shine.

So with the eyesore that is the former damaged ABC building slowly being taken down to be rebuilt, and new food and drinks spots opening up, it seems the street could once again be on the up.
