PITTSBURGH —
First-line Pittsburgh Penguins forward Rickard Rakell will be sidelined for the coming weeks after undergoing surgery on his hand.
The organization announced Sunday that Rakell "underwent successful surgery" on his left hand at UPMC Mercy Hospital. Advertisement
This season, Rakell, 32, scored three goals, has five assists, and eight points through nine games with the team.
Officials said the expected recovery time is six to eight weeks.
