NAVI MUMBAI: The final group match of the Women's World Cup was abandoned due to rain. Heavy rain started after 8.4 overs of India's innings. This is why the match could not be continued and it was decided to abandon it. Bangladesh scored 119 runs for the loss of nine wickets in the match, which was reduced to 27 overs. India's target for victory was revised to 126 runs according to the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern (DLS) method.
Rain arrived when India were 57 for no loss in 8.4 overs. Smriti Mandhana 34* (27) and Amanjot Kaur 15* (25) were at the crease. Amanjot came in as the opener after Indian opener Pratika Rawal twisted her ankle while fielding earlier. The Indian camp is hoping that the player will return to full fitness before the semi-finals.
