NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that the diverse varieties of coffee produced in India are among the finest in the world and have garnered global appreciation. He highlighted the unique flavours of coffee grown in Wayanad, as well as other regions of Malabar and Travancore. The Prime Minister made these remarks during the 127th episode of his monthly radio program, Mann Ki Baat.
He praised the rich taste of Koraput coffee from Odisha, calling it exceptional. Modi also mentioned the well-known coffee varieties from Chikkamagaluru, Coorg, and Hassan in Karnataka, and Pulney, Shevaroy, Nilgiri, and Anamalai in Tamil Nadu, noting that the northeastern states are also making remarkable progress in coffee cultivation.
