A crash on a busy Edinburgh road has seen one person rushed to hospital.

The incident took place on Telford Road in the Drylaw area at around 1.55pm on Sunday, October 26, and involved a car and a pedestrian.

Reports on social media suggested that traffic was backed up as a result of the incident, which saw the pedestrian taken to hospital.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 1.55pm on Sunday, 26 October, 2025, officers received a report of a crash involving a pedestrian and a vehicle on Telford Road, Edinburgh.

“The pedestrian was taken to hospital.”

The severity of the pedestrian's injuries is currently not known.
