ATLANTA — Georgia Tech fell one spot in the latest AP top-25 college football rankings released on Sunday, despite blowing out Syracuse on Saturday and improving to 8-0.

The undefeated Yellow Jackets now clock in at No. 8, down from No. 7 last week after being leapfrogged by 7-1 Ole Miss. Tech beat Syracuse 41-16 on Saturday in Atlanta.

The Georgia Bulldogs, meanwhile, didn't play this weekend and stayed put at No. 5 in the poll.

Tech head coach Brent Key said Saturday he felt his team's win was one of the most solid he's seen from them this season.

"We're getting closer to playing a full game. We're getting closer. Good thing about that is we haven't peaked yet," Key said. "If I'm not mistaken that's kind of how you want it. You want to play your best ball when you start rolling into
