Jammu Tawi, Oct 26: Jammu and Kashmir Police have registered a case against a group of Christian missionaries accused of “converting” local villagers by misguiding them by assuring relief from poverty and illness in the Kathua district.
Police officials said that the incident took place in a rural area of Kathua district, where the missionaries were reportedly “persuading” villagers to change their religion.
Senior Superintendent of Police, Kathua, Mohita Sharma, has directed strict action in the matter, following which a case was registered, and further investigation is underway.
