SACRAMENTO — Lakers star Luka Doncic will be sidelined for at least one week because of finger and leg injuries.

The team announced ahead of Sunday’s road game against the Sacramento Kings that Doncic had been diagnosed with a sprained left finger and a lower left leg contusion, and is expected to be reevaluated in about a week – signaling there isn’t a long-term concern with either injury.

Doncic’s absence comes during a period the Lakers are already without star forward LeBron James, who has been sidelined to start the season because of sciatica and isn’t expected to be reevaluated for at least another week.

The Lakers will play at least four games before Doncic is expected to be reevaluated: Sunday at the Kings, Monday vs. the Portland Trail Blazers, Wednesday at the Minnesota Timber
