AUSTIN (KXAN) — Texas moved up two spots to No. 20 in the latest Associated Press rankings following a dramatic come-from-behind victory 45-38 over Mississippi State on Saturday.
The new AP Top 25 was released Sunday, with Texas as the lowest-ranked Southeastern Conference team. The Longhorns are one of eight 2-loss teams in the rankings.
Oklahoma dropped five spots to No. 18 after losing to Ole Miss, and the Missouri Tigers fell four spots to No. 19 after losing to Vanderbilt, Texas' opponent Nov. 1.
Texas A&M held at No. 3 after throttling Louisiana State 49-25 in Baton Rouge. The Aggies are the highest-ranked SEC team in the poll this week, followed by Alabama at No. 4 and Georgia at No. 5.
