The Cincinnati Bengals could not hold onto a 15-point lead in the fourth quarter as the New York Jets scored 23 of the game's final 30 points to stun the Bengals in a 39-38 contest Sunday at Paycor Stadium.
It was the first win of the year for the Jets (1-7) while the Bengals (3-5) slip back to two games under .500. The win is the second-largest fourth quarter comeback in Jets history. Advertisement
Trading scores over four straight possessions to close the third quarter and to open the fourth, the Bengals offense went three-and-out with just over seven minute to play, totaling -6 yards in the process. Cincinnati punted the ball back to the Jets, clinging to a 38-32 lead.
