The cause of an early-morning fire at an abandoned house will be investigated.

Frefighters were alerted by a triple zero call to a fire in an abandoned house on Johnsons Road, Yolla, just before 6am on October 27.

"On arrival, crews found the old wooden structure alight, with parts of the roof having collapsed," the fire service said.

"The building was uninhabitable, with no doors or windows, and is believed to have been vacant for some time."

Crews were working to bring the fire under control.

A fire investigation would start later in the morning.
