New Zealand have added Blair Tickner to their ODI squad to play England after Kyle Jamieson was ruled out with a side strain .

Tickner, 32, has 13 ODI caps and last played for New Zealand in 2023. He took 1 for 55 in Central Districts' win over Wellington in the Ford Trophy on Saturday, and will join up with the Black Caps squad in Hamilton ahead of the second match of series.

"Blair's an experienced campaigner and no stranger to international cricket," Rob Walter, New Zealand's head coach, said. "He bowls a heavy ball from a decent height with plenty of energy and aggression. In that respect he can fill a similar role to what Kyle would normally perform."
