Heavy rain on Sunday night led to the abandonment of the final league match of the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup between India and Bangladesh at the Dr DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai.
What happened in the match?
Chasing a DLS-adjusted target of 126 in 27 overs, India reached 57 without loss in 8.4 overs before another downpour stopped play. With no chance of completing the minimum number of overs, umpires Lauren Agenbag and Sue Redfern, after consulting match officials, declared the game a washout.
