BECKLEY, WV (WVNS) - Wyoming County Special Olympics are taking their talents to a brand-new field, or an alley in this case.
This is the first year the group will be participating in bowling competitions.
This latest development coincides with the rise of Special Olympics in Wyoming County, which kicked off at the end of last year.
"When we first started, I honestly had no expectations. My main goal was that the athletes will have fun and make memories. Sure enough, they did and some more," Holly Hale said, Local Program Director with Special Olympics of Wyoming County.
So far, the group has just under a dozen athletes signed up for state competitions.
