CLEVELAND, Ohio - A fire early Sunday in the building that houses Annie B. & Earl’s Pancake House caused an estimated $500,000 in damage, reports WKYC, news partner of cleveland.com and The Plain Dealer.
Cleveland firefighters responded around 1 a.m. to the blaze at the 2 1/2-story building on St. Clair Avenue near East 40th Street, WKYC reports. The fire originated in an upstairs apartment, according to the fire department.
No injuries were reported in the incident, though the Red Cross was called to assist one adult male tenant who was displaced by the fire.
The popular restaurant acknowledged the traumatic event in an Instagram post Sunday morning.
