CHESTERFIELD, Va. (WWBT) - Dozens of local Starbucks workers and their allies rallied in North Chesterfield on Sunday, making their presence known as they fight for a new contract that promises better pay and on-the-job protections.
The demonstration comes as Starbucks prepares for its busy holiday season, with workers across the country and here in the Richmond area pushing for significant changes.
Those participating in the protest emphasized a clear and simple message.
They say that Starbucks is aware of their demands, and they are committed to continued protesting and rallying until they achieve the contract they believe they deserve.
The chant “No contract, no coffee!” echoed through the air.
With signs held high, bullhorns, and the marching to the beat of their own drums, Richmo
