More and more NFL stars are finding themselves at a crossroads with the government. The latest name added to the list is HOFer Antonio Gates, following a reportedly fixed poker game.
As Yahoo Sports reported on X, “Hall of Fame tight end Antonio Gates hosted and participated in an allegedly fixed poker game in Miami, per @pablofindsout. The game was organized by Curtis Meeks, who was indicted Thursday by the federal government.”
This latest development comes after the NBA found itself under scrutiny for illegal gambling. NBA Commissioner Adam Silver had also issued a statement noting he was “deeply disturbed” when these allegations came to light.
Stay tuned, this story is developing.
