It's a big night for many people in Western Pennsylvania. The Pittsburgh Steelers are trying to reestablish a clear stranglehold on the AFC North division. Meanwhile, Aaron Rodgers is playing his first-ever game against the Green Bay Packers after winning Super Bowl 45 and four MVP awards as a member of the green and gold.

Unfortunately, for everyone involved, the poor playing surface on the Steelers' home field might make Sunday night's matchup a little less momentous and exciting than we had hoped.

In a photo shared by ESPN's Rob Demovsky from pregame warmups, there were huge chunks missing and divots all over a field where professional football players will be expected to make precise, dynamic cuts and runs. It's, uh, not ideal to say the least. And the Steelers and Packers can thank Pitt and NC State for the awful conditions after having played a game on the field on Saturday night.

Here's hoping the field's terrible state doesn't impact Sunday night's game too much, if at all.
