An inspired defensive effort and a quarterback change wasn't enough for the New Orleans Saints on Sunday as they dropped a 23-3 decision to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at the Caesars Superdome.
The Saints turned the ball over four times (two interceptions, one a pick-six) to allow the Bucs to solidify their grip on the NFC South at 6-2. The loss dropped the Saints to 1-7.
Rookie Tyler Shough entered the game with 3:57 to play in the third quarter and the Saints down 17-3 and promptly completed his first pass for six yards to Taysom Hill . Shough's first series ended when Tampa cornerback Antoine Winfield took the ball away from Saints receiver Chris Olave for an interception.
