LOUISVILLE, Ky. —
City leaders are helping pet owners keep their furry friends healthy.
Council members teamed up with Metro Animal Services and EthanAlmighty for a free spay and neuter clinic.
Owners could also bring their companions to the LMAS location on Newburg Road for wellness checks, vaccines, and microchipping.
Organizers say the goal is to make sure all dogs are healthy and safe.
Jeff Callaway, the founder of EthanAlmighty, said, “One of the most important things you can do for your dog and for the community is spay and neuter. And so, we'll do that for about 35 dogs. You know, there was a new ordinance passed for making sure that your dog is microchipped in Jefferson County. If your dog is not microchipped, we'll do that here for free, too.
