As the high school football regular season winds down in Georgia, the battle for region titles and playoff position is heating up.
There are some big games on the slate involving Savannah area teams on Friday, Oct. 24.
Savannah Christian (5-3), ranked No. 4 among Class A-3A teams in the state by the Atlanta Journal Constitution, is set to host Swainsboro (8-1), ranked No. 4 in Class A Division I, in a Region 3A Division I battle at Pooler Stadium.
Benedictine is looking to keep its Region 1-4A record unblemished as the Cadets (5-2, 3-0) travel to Perry (4-4, 2-1) for a region tilt.
Richmond Hill (6-2) is set to host Lowndes (8-0), ranked No. 4 in Class 6A, in a Region 1-6A matchup, and Liberty County (7-1, 6-1) hosts Beach (4-3, 4-3) in a Region 3-3A game with playoff implications.
