Three separate shootings across Jacksonville within a 12-hour span this weekend left four people injured, with one victim suffering life-threatening injuries, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

The string of violence began Saturday evening at the Red Roof Inn on Harts Road.

Around 5:30 p.m., a man in his early 20s was shot in the right shin near the motel’s front entrance, according to police.

Investigators said the suspect sped away in a white SUV, which was later found abandoned nearby.

Officers recovered approximately eight shell casings from the scene. The victim remains in stable condition.

Less than 90 minutes later, at 6:48 p.m., officers responded to another shooting on Evergreen Avenue in the Phoenix neighborhood.
