COLUMBIA, S.C. — The Midlands are in for a wet and chilly start to the week, but sunshine and slightly warmer temperatures will return by the end of the week and the weekend.

Tonight, a few isolated showers are possible before more widespread rainfall arrives on Monday. Overnight lows will be in the low 50s tonight under cloudy skies.

Plan for a rainy day on Monday as rainfall will persist throughout the entire day. Showers will become more scattered by early Monday morning, with heavier rainfall arriving early afternoon. High temperatures on Monday will not warm very much. Highs will only be in the upper 50s across the Midlands.
