Amid the massive outrage over the alleged molestation of two Australian women cricketers in Indore, a Madhya Pradesh minister has sparked a fresh controversy, saying the players should learn a lesson from the incident.

According to the police, the two players, taking part in the ICC Women's Cricket World Cup, were allegedly stalked, and one of them was molested by a motorcycle-borne man in the Khajrana Road area on Thursday morning. The accused, identified as Akil Khan, has been arrested.

State minister Kailash Vijayvargiya said on Sunday that the players should have kept the local authorities informed while stepping out, as they are very popular in India.
